Estella & Oliver = Fun Energy

I had a great time on Saturday photographing these two sweet peas. They both have so much energy, kinda reminds me of my little guy. I wish I could bottle that energy up sometimes and use it when I need a boost.  Thanks for the fun and laughter :)

I love her eyelashes on this one

Don't you sometimes wish you were little and people could toss ya up like this again?? I do!!

My little man

Here are a few new pics of tavin that I took yesterday. He is such a fun bundle of happiness and joy, just gotta love him and his crazy fun personality! He is a challenge some days, but for the most part he is a happy kid. I really am blessed to have him as my lil man, he ROCKS :)

Can't you feel the emotion in this one? So funny

Legacy of Love!

When I was home for Easter I took a few snapshots of my beautiful Grandma without her knowing. My grandma is such an amazing woman of God and full of wisdom. I have learned so much from her over the years. She is a great cook and an awesome gardener. (I could go on and on at things she is good at, but this would be a really long post). She is still out there today, at the age of 88, pulling weeds and planting every veggie imaginable. Last time I talked to her she said, I can't wait til' spring so I can get out there and start digging in the dirt. I hope that I have that much ambition at that age! Thanks so much for all the love and wisdom you have shared with me. I will cherish it forever!! LOVE YOU GRANDMA!!

I heart sunsets!!

I love this one of the water

I wanted to post a few pictures from Florida that I took way back in January. I have been slacking on my blog lately so I thought I would put a few oldie but goodies up.  These were taken while my friend Molly and I were down in Tampa for Imaging USA.  We took a little time out to head over to Clearwater beach for the sunset, and wow did God put on an amazing show!! The pirate ship that went through right at sunset was the perfect ending.  I kinda felt like I was on Pirates of the Caribbean for a little bit there, until I looked over and saw a guy who looked nothing like Jack Sparrow, bummer. Maybe next time :)

South Dakota farm fun

This past weekend I went home for Easter and I can always find new and different things to take pictures of. Lately I am fascinated with old stuff and abandon farms. I really want to do a series on abandon farms, I don't know what it is, but there is kinda a sense of mystery and creepiness to them that makes my photo brain go nutty. You should see me though, I get so freaked out! Every little noise makes me think the girl from The Ring is going to come walking out of the house and attack me. Maybe that is just the girl in me, but if anyone wants to come along with me next time, ya'll are welcome to come along so we both can get scared. I am sure the old farmers just love driving by and seeing me in my dads old beat up F-150, with my shootsac in tow, taking pics of rusty, old stuff. I wonder what goes through their heads. I bet its funny thoughts :) I also walked around the farm during milking and got a few other random pictures. I love having the privilege to come home to such a wonderful, peaceful place. I feel so lucky to have grown up on a farm, it's awesome!

which cow do you think feels out of place here??

This is another random picture of the ladder that takes you to the top of the silo (a silo is where the feed is stored for the cows, in case you didn't know). I used to climb to the top of this a lot in my younger days to sit up there and get away from everything. It was actually quite peaceful, but if you are afraid of heights, i wouldn't recommend this as a way to have some quiet time :)

Sophia and Eva.

I love Eva's face on this one, she was such a little ham for the camera.

These last two are definitely my favorite from the shoot.  They are so sweet and innocent i think.

The other day I got the chance to take photos of the two most beautiful girls.  I don't think it is possible to take a bad picture of these two.   Sophia (the little one) would not stop smiling. She is one of those babies that is always happy, it was great!!  And I can't get over Eva's beautiful brown eyes and dark eyebrows. Reminds me of my little guys eyebrows. So cute, thank you Alina for letting me come out and play.

Fun with my nieces and nephew!

A couple weeks ago I got the chance to photograph my nieces and nephews. It was super super cold, but we ended up getting some fantastic shots.  Thank  you Jamie for going along with me, you are so much fun to work with! If you want to view the slideshow, click here
